Cosmetic Dentistry
What is cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry is professional dental care designed to enhance the appearance of your teeth and smile. Dr. Nicole Trombetta is a gifted cosmetic dentist with an artistic eye. Using modern dental materials and techniques she can correct chipped, cracked, misshapen and discolored teeth.
However, cosmetic dentistry involves more than teeth enhancement, it is also about the position of the teeth, especially the upper front teeth, and the ratio, size and symmetry of the teeth.
Dr. Trombetta can fix crooked and unevenly spaced teeth and create a more pleasing appearance even when you just don’t like your teeth. The results of cosmetic dentistry have a positive effect on your self-esteem and quality of life.

Why should you care about how your teeth look?
Your teeth are a major component of facial beauty. The judgments a person makes about you are affected by your dental appearance. Scientists have revealed that when someone looks at you, they focus the most on your eyes and mouth. When your teeth are clean, straight, well-shaped and even; and your gums are pink and healthy it enhances your smile and you become more attractive and younger appearing.
When you are smiling the whole world smiles with you.
Studies also demonstrate the positive effects of smiling on relationships. The first and longest lasting impression you make is your smile. Enhancing your smile could lead to more positive experiences which in turn will improve your self-confidence and self – esteem. People feel happier and smile more in the presence of people who smile. Smiling people also get higher ratings in trust, likability, attractiveness and cooperation.
We want you to maintain great oral health, and we also want you to have a beautiful smile and the confidence to smile often! Our main goal is to create the most natural looking teeth and design your smile in the most natural and aesthetic manner based on your specific needs and desires.
With our expertise and the new generation of dental materials, we can provide optically and esthetically pleasing restorations, veneers and cosmetic bonding that enhance your smile with reduced thickness and improved strength and durability.
Dr. Trombetta ‘s goal is to consider all available cosmetic treatments to obtain the best esthetic result for you. Procedures available alone or in combination to create and enhance a beautiful smile include:
- Adult orthodontics with invisible custom-made aligners gently straighten the teeth. It is a good option to improve oral health as well as giving you nice, straight teeth.
- Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are applied to the front of a tooth often on the front teeth to perfect your smile and conceal chipped, worn or aging teeth, and fill in gaps between teeth. A thin layer of tooth enamel must be removed to make space for the veneer which is attached by an adhesive to the tooth. The adhesive is hardened or cured with a special curing light.
- Cosmetic bonding fills or restores teeth with tooth colored material to improve the appearance of the tooth. Bonding uses a composite material to adjust size, shape or color of the tooth.
- Microabrasion is a safe and conservative procedure to minimize the appearance of stains, yellowing and spots on the tooth enamel that often occurred in childhood. It is done by removing a very thin layer of tooth enamel. It is not a restoration. It is conservative treatment targeting deeper stains. If needed, it may be followed by bleaching to brighten and transform the smile.
- Crowns cover the entire tooth to protect it and to improve the appearance of the tooth. They are made of ceramic or porcelain. Bridges are used to fill in missing teeth with artificial teeth. Implants are crowns that are implanted into your bone to restore lost teeth with a permanent replacement. They look and function just like your natural teeth.
